Manuka Honey Strength Guide

Honey sourced from Australian or New Zealand Leptospermum trees contains a unique compound called Methylglyoxal, which is the key component used to measure the antibacterial activity of Manuka honey. This rating is called MGO, and is the number that indicates the strength of our bottles of bioactive Manuka. The higher the number, the higher the level of activity of that honey.

Widely studied for its antimicrobial and wound healing effects, Manuka really is nature’s sweetest superfood.
